Parcul Copou, Bulevardul Carol I, Iași, România
The “History of Romanian Theatre” collection pursues the evolution of dramaturgy in Iași from the first play acted in Romanian language in 1816. There are costumes worn by the famous soprano Hariclea Darclée and by the first Romanian actor who played as travesty, Matei Millo, as well as manuscripts of playwright Vasile Alecsandri’s works, poster collections, plastic and decorative art, and photographs. The Film Fans Club shows weekly art films in the show hall of “Mihai Ursachi” Culture House. Photo exhibitions, book launches, and artistic shows complete the cultural atmosphere of this place. The famous National Fair “Cucuteni 5000”, held each year at the end of June on the terrace and in the park, promotes the art of pottery and painted ceramics from all over Romania.
