The Galleries of Fine Artists Association, Iași branch

Since 1978, the Iași branch of Fine Artists Association of Romania carries out its activity in this old Istrati (Drossu) House, built in the 19th century. The institution perpetuates the tradition of “The Union of Fine Arts”, having as its main principles the encouragement of free expression of professional artists and the support of all its members. The exhibitions organised by the Union create a unique artistic environment as its 350 members are directly involved in the cultural and educational scene of Iași. The painting or the contemporary art exhibitions regularly organised in the “N. Tonitza” and “Th. Pallady” Galleries in this house invite the public to meditation and introspection.
