Copou Hill – “Mihail Sadoveanu” Museum

The Copou Hill (hill no. 7) is the most famous of the seven hills, due to its landmark buildings. In the vicinity of the Breazu Hill there stands the “Mihail Sadoveanu” memorial house or the Villa with the Square Turret, where the writer produced most of his work. The imposing building of The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine stands on the top of the hill. Down the way we come across the the Agronomics and Târgușor student campuses, “Saint Nicholas” Church, the Exhibition Park with the Botanical Garden, The Army Palace, the Stadium, the Copou Park with Eminescu’s Linden Tree and finally “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iași. The Agronomie roundabout is the starting point of sports competitions and the popular bikers’ get-togethers, called “Critical Mass”. (PHOTO : Lucian ROȘU)
