Bârnova Commune – Hamak Park – Bârnova Monastery

Located between the hills of Cetățuia and Repedea, Bârnova village attracts by its various open-air and nature-related activities. The fortified Bârnova Monastery, around which the community developed, was built between 1626 and 1666 by the Voivodes of Moldavia Miron Barnovschi and Eustratie Dabija. The nearby Bârnova Forest is excellent for trekking, mountain biking and trail running activities. The Gramma Winery, located in the village of Vișan, part of the old vineyards „Hills of Iași”, organises the Festival “La Vie” (At the Vineyards) and wine-tasting of local grapes Fetească Albă and Fetească Regală. The Hamak Leisure Park offers relaxation, outdoor activities, climbing, and archery. The ”Noah’s Ark” Park in its vicinity attracts children through its generous playground and animal farm.
